Terms and Conditions

Shipping agreement-

These terms and conditions are a legally binding contract between Rikia Shipping & Logistics JA and the accepting user.

You are required to pay the FULL balance before receiving your packages (per weight if by air or by dimensions (LxWxD) if by sea) plus all additional charges (see Charges and Fees) added by Rikia Shipping & Logistics JA. We offer express shipping BY AIR ONLY and standard shipping BY SEA ONLY. Please choose which shipping you need by choosing Air-express or Sea-standard as the method of shipment in the customer portal. Rikia Shipping & Logistics JA WILL NOT be responsible for the incorrect shipment because the method was mistakenly selected.

SEA IS CALCULATED BY BOX PACKAGING / DIMENSION {LxWxD} ~ (NOT WEIGHT)

Ship once PER WEEK

TIME: 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS / 10- 14 DAYS IN PEAK SEASON

PROCESS TIME: PACKAGES MUST HAVE ARRIVED AT THE WAREHOUSE BY TUESDAYS ***ONLY***

REASON: WE NEED TO PROCESS AND DELIVER TO SEABOARD WEDNESDAYS BY 12 NOON

SHIP SAILS: EVERY FRIDAY OF EACH WEEK

US Shipping Address-

You’ll need to correctly write the US shipping address provided by RIKIA SHIPPING & LOGISTICS JA. MAKE SURE ADDRESS LINE TWO INCLUDES THE UNIQUE CODE before you proceed to check out from your online shopping platforms. If you fail to do this, it will require us to do a lousy address search, which will attract a fee (see Shipping costs and fees)

Return Policy or Damages claims-

RIKIA SHIPPING & LOGISTICS JA does not have a return policy. If your supplier incorrectly packed the package for shipment or damaged it in transit, we recommend you submit a return or refund per your supplier’s return policies.

Shipping costs and fees-

ALL COSTS AND FEES ARE SUBJECT TO FLUCTUATIONS WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE

Delays-

Unforeseen delays (including new USA policies, supplier errors, online shopping platform errors, etc.) may occur, and we will always communicate any delays with you via email. Please be advised that during peak times, especially during holidays like Christmas, New Year’s, Easter, back-to-school, etc., there may be higher shipping volumes that cause delays.

Shipping invoices from suppliers-

You must send your shipping invoices from suppliers to [email protected] or upload them through the customer portal after submitting your order on online shopping platforms. These invoices are necessary to process your packages through customs for clearance. RIKIA SHIPPING AND LOGISTICS JA IS A REGISTERED COMPANY WITH THE COMPANY OFFICES OF JAMAICA, AND HEREBY ADVISE YOU THAT WE COMPLY 100% WITH THE LAWS OF JAMAICA AND THE JAMAICA CUSTOMS AGENCY. Any invoices altered to change the cost of items purchased in packages shipped, Rikia Shipping and Logistics JA DOES NOT hold any responsibility for whatever actions Jamaica Customs Agency may take. For your information: Jamaica law deems this as Invoice Fraud, and the fine for an altered invoice can vary depending on the severity of the offence but generally involves a penalty of three times the value of the duty evaded on the under-invoiced item, with the potential for additional penalties like forfeiture of the goods involved; in severe cases, jail time may also be possible, particularly when falsifying invoices to avoid customs duties. Customs reserves the right to search any package they deem hazardous or suspicious.

Hours of operations-

Rikia Shipping & Logistics JA hours of operation are:

Mondays to Fridays - 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Saturdays- 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Sundays- CLOSED ( no replies to emails, phone calls or WhatsApp messages till next business day)

We are open on holidays, but hours may vary so an email will be sent.

New addition to terms and conditions-

Just so you know, by accepting these terms and conditions, you also acknowledge that RIKIA SHIPPING & LOGISTICS JA may edit or update them. Still, hours may vary, so at any time with or without notice if Jamaican laws, the Jamaica Customs Agency, or international shipping regulations require it.

Taxes-

Upon accepting these terms and conditions, Rikia Shipping & Logistics JA, as per Jamaica laws and regulations, cannot legally collect or charge you for taxes until directed by TAJ. (Please be advised that this is also subject to change once directed by TAJ)

Insurance-

Rikia Shipping & Logistics JA is not responsible for ensuring that any package is received at our warehouse.

Confidentiality-

Rikia Shipping & Logistics JA ensures the privacy of sensitive information shared between parties during the shipping process. In terms of Jamaica and Jamaica Customs Agency laws and regulations, Rikia Shipping & Logistics JA will share such sensitive information with the Jamaica Government and Jamaica Customs Agency if directed.

Please note that this contract still stands if you fail to read these terms and conditions but accept them anyway.
